Welcome to the pupil healthy eating page. Here you will be able to find out how Healthy Schools can support your Primary School and school council.
The Healthy Schools team members are keen to ensure that what you learn about healthy eating in lessons and assemblies, you are able to put into practice at lunchtimes. And at breakfast and after school clubs for those who attend these.
During the summer term a member of the healthy schools programme visited several Primary Schools in Westminster and watched and tasted a school meal. As part of the visit, there was a meeting with the school council. All schools seemed to be enjoying the salad carts that were introduced into the schools in 2005/2006.

How can we get all children to eat more vegetables and salads? Do let us know, if you have any interesting ideas.
For those of you who have a packed lunch, look out for more information and ideas on how to make your packed lunches even healthier.
Scolarest has been given the contract to provide school meals for the majority of schools in Westminster. Look out too for 'Taster Pots' as Scolarest tries to demonstrate how school lunches are the best option for everyone.
